Here are several events coming up in Missouri in support of film makers and films. Come out, meet your peers and join us in pursuing the renewal of Tax Credits for film making in Missouri.
ST. LOUIS
July 17-21, 2016
The Whitaker St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase, an annual presentation of the nonprofit Cinema St. Louis, serves as the area’s primary venue for films made by local artists. The Showcase screens works that were written, directed, edited, or produced by St. Louis natives or films with strong local ties. The programs range from full-length fiction features and documentaries to multi-film compilations of fiction and documentary shorts. Many of the programs with feature-length films include post-screening Q&As with filmmakers. The festival will take place July 17-21, 2016. The full schedule is available below. Tickets are on sale now!
Kansas City
Kansas City became the first and only city in America to offer a local incentive in a state that does not offer its own state incentive. Since that day the KC Film Office, along with the Kansas City Office of Culture and Creative Services worked to ensure the entire incentive process, from initial application to rewarding the rebate, is a smooth successful one.
