I am happy to announce our new MoMMA President Michelle Davidson Bratcher. She takes over as President this month! Michelle has been a board member of MoMMA since 2014 and has an abundance of industry experience including Filmmaker, Producer, Screenwriter, Actor, and Host. She was President of KC Women in Film & Television from 2011 to 2013, and in 2017 was honored with their KCWIFT Legacy Award for her contribution to the film community. She is a four-time regional Emmy award winning writer and producer, and is on the advisory board for the KC FilmFest International.
I have thoroughly enjoyed leading MoMMA for the past 8 years. I have learned so much about the legislative process, and made countless friends along the way. I am thankful to our great Board of Directors. Without the Board’s passion and guidance, many of our accomplishments could not have happened. Covid-19 will undoubtedly alter some of MoMMA’s plans over the course of 2020/21, but our mission will remain the same: support and unify the Missouri Production community, educate Legislators about the film and production industry, and re-instate the film incentive program.
I know MoMMA will benefit from Michelle’s leadership, and look forward to supporting her in my new role: Past-President and Board Member.
Sincerely,
Joni Tackette
MoMMA Past-President
Webmaster note: I’ve added a small gallery of photos below of Joni and her hard work representing all of us. Thank you Joni, I’ve very much enjoyed working with you and appreciate the leadership you offered. I have a high level of confidence in Michelle and what she will bring to the organization having interacted with her electronically the past several years and finally meeting her earlier this year during some transition conversations. She and Joni and the Board worked their ‘storyboard’ in getting MOMMA to this point. Well done to all!
