MOMMA Film Summit and Conference Registration Now Open!

The best education and network opportunity of the year takes place in Columbia on December 6 and 7, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Select. Two days of power packed seminars! Day one sampling: Webby nominated Mary Feuer (Lonelygirl15, With the Angels and Dante’s Cove) leads a panel on writing and producing for the web. Courtney Nobel, director of Markets and Festivals for Fortissimo Films, one of the worlds largest distributer and marketer of independent films, hosts a session titled, “My film has been accepted at a Festival. Now what?” Courtney will show you how to use that opportunity to best promote and position your film.

MOMMA’s first Producer’s Circle reception will take place at MOJO’s an iconic Columbia music venue on Monday evening. The reception is sponsored by founding members of MOMMA and is included with your registration.

Monday’s lunch features the first MOMMA “Pitching Competition.” Five attendees will be given the opportunity to pitch a film or series idea to a panel of industry members who will judge the best pitch and provide feedback. To enter the competition, please send an email to Filmmomma AT gmail.com with the word “PITCH” in the subject line and we’ll send you a form to complete and return. Note: You must be registered for the conference to compete.

On Tuesday afternoon, we head to MOMMA “Bootcamp” – a working lunch with roundtable sessions on contracts, rights and permissions, self distribution, working with composers/music rights and more. This will be a more intimate setting with the opportunity for extensive Q&A with the facilitators.

Register today by clicking here. Please note that the screen will say, “You are testing this event.” This is just to let you know that you can start the registration process but you are never committed until you click the “complete” button at the end of the process. So feel free to browse! Let us know, by posting a comment, if you have any difficulties with the registration. Come and join us in December. An industry united is a very powerful thing!
